Logo-smallEver-faithful to its original mission, EURÉCOLE’s objectives are : to give students the necessary tools to succeed as tomorrow’s good citizens of Europe and the world.

Based on a unique pedagogical concept that is innovative and open to the world, EURÉCOLE offers a balanced studies/sports/arts programme comprising of three languages – French, English, Spanish or German.

Starting at pre-school, EURÉCOLE has a diversified approach to teaching, and small group sizes that favor individual attention to each and every pupil’s needs is a guarantee.

From nursery school through primary school, EURÉCOLE welcomes 250 students, both French speakers and non-French speakers. Our priority is to integrate each child, taking into account his or her personal profile and mother tongue.

Non-French Speaking Students

images_trousseIndividual tutoring on a daily basis helps children who don’t yet speak French adapt fully and rapidly. In addition to total immersion in a French classroom, these children have the advantage of individual instruction in French as a Foreign Language that will permit them to quickly speak French and learn the basis of the written language. With this personalized attention, they will discover our language and culture with pleasure, and the eventual difficulties will be attenuated.

Personalized instruction helps newcomers adapt rapidly and permits them to follow the French national curriculum along with their classmates. At the same time, these students can enjoy the advantages of EURÉCOLE’s enriched syllabus which includes a wide range of subjects that assure a well-rounded education: algebra, art history, computer science, Antique Civilisation studies etc..

EURÉCOLE is a private secular institution recognized by the French Ministry of Education and supported by the City of Paris. The school is composed of both two State-funded classes (sous contrat) and classes that are not State-funded (hors contrat).

EURÉCOLE is a member of ELSA, an organization of international schools offering quality instruction of English.

As a French system school, EURÉCOLE respects the high teaching standards imposed by the national school curriculum – and goes well beyond this to offer its pupils a balanced learning experience in the arts, sports and academics.

The balanced development of pupils is EURÉCOLE’s main preoccupation.

In nursery school, days are enriched through artistic expression supported by art history, sporting activities and the monitoring of sensorial abilities.

Within an international environment, framed by a team of qualified pedagogues, your child will be set on the road to ‘openness’ and excellence in an atmosphere of joyful curiosity each and every day.

Dedicated to developing early learning skills, EURÉCOLE promotes pre-reading, pre-writing and pre-maths activities in the first year of nursery school.

The structured learning of English and German or Spanish, with native language teachers, is based on oral communication.

Physical education activities at EURÉCOLE put the accent on enhancing whole body awareness, coordination, right/left handedness and other neuro-motor activities.

Art history, an atmosphere of heightened creativity and special attention to fine motor skills complete the children’s general education.

images_ballonsOne booklet and Three report cards are given to parents during the year so that they can follow their child’s progress.

A Parent/Teacher meeting – organized at the beginning of the school year – will allow parents to meet the team charged with instructing their children: the grade teacher, the language teachers, the Physical Education teachers will all be on-hand for this meeting…

At this time also, a detailed curriculum for the year ahead will be presented – along with the text books used and the teacher’s pedagogical strategy.

Little by little, through the diverse events that punctuate the school year (Halloween, Carnival), our students become important and active actors in the life of EURÉCOLE.

Frequent cultural field trips and workshops are organized to stimulate the curiosity and sense of discovery for our youngest children and to introduce them to new ideas.
